Cabbage, I Knew it All Along

Ok, so I tell people all the time how I make all my salads with shredded cabbage instead of lettuce.  To be honest, I was doing it for the a) crunch and b) cheapness.  It tastes just ike lettuce to me and frankly, I've been on the bandwagon for a while.  

I just came across an article about cabbage, it's benefits, and reasons why cabbage is MUCH beneficial in your diet.  Aiding in digestion, full of vitamins A & C, but the BEST being that it inhibits your body from converting sugars into fat.  What does this mean??  It means, it can possibly inhibit your body's ability to store that extra sugars/carbs into fat.  If you want to lose weight, eat some cabbage with your meal.  it could possibly aid in weight loss and can also add some crunch to your meal.
