OK….it is time for RULE #2.

RULE #2: If you have not seen results, stop doing what you're doing!

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.  Now I am pretty confident that anyone in the gym and working out, is NOT doing so because they are insane.  Well, maybe we trainers are a little bit, haha. But seriously, if you have been doing a program and are not seeing the kind of results you expect, STOP DOING IT!  I'm not saying if you love to do yoga you need to stop doing yoga.  I am saying keep doing yoga, but add in other activities (i.e. resistance, other cardio & core exercises, spin class, etc..)  This is exactly what my objective is as a trainer, to change up your routine based on observable abilities and changes, feeling, weight changes, bodyfat and measurement changes.  I AM HERE TO MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT PLATEAU!!! It is very easy to get comfortable doing certain activities.  The more you do any activity, the easier it becomes for your body to perform that task.  What does that mean?  Well….basically, it becomes easier for your muscles to perform it ans therefore it does not need to expend as much energy (calories) to perform it.

Working out should be enjoyable, it is work, but it should involve some activities you enjoy.  Noone should be absolutely miserable as they work their way to a healthier body and life.  It takes time, but my job is to minimize the time.  It takes work, but my job is to interject with those activities that are efficient.  And it is a lifestyle change, my job is to help guide you through that change.  If you can't do it alone, invest in someone who can help guide you through and teach you HOW to do it on your own.
