Post Christmas Push

Now that the "holidays" are pretty much complete, it is the time to regain composure and reevaluate your workouts.  This is the time to get going before the New year's Resolution groups begins flooding in.  How do you deal with the onslaught of people that hit the gym for the first 2 months of the year??  Me, well I try to find things I can do outside of the gym.  Well, at least those exercises that don't require the use of a machine that 10 other people are waiting for.  Ugh!  One thing I hate….waiting for machines (which is why I don't really use them!) 

So if you're feeling a little out of the norm or like you need to get back into it, make it easy for yourself.  Circuits are your friend!  Bodyweight, cardio moves, and moveable resistance (medicine balls, kettlebells) are your friend.  Here are a couple good workouts you can try out this week! 

Circuit #

Sprint 1 block (both ways)

30 kettlebell swings

30 burpees

REPEAT as many rounds as you can in 30 minutes


Circuit #2 

50 jumping jacks

10 push ups

10 jump squats

10 jumping lunges each leg

REPEAT 5 rounds for time! 


So take this week to push yourself and get back into the swing as soon as possible, it will save you a lot of pain down the road.  Happy New Year!
