Is It Easier Squatting to Squat With a Monolift?

In case you’ve never seen or heard of one, a monolift is a different kind of squat rack which allows you to squat without the walk out.  Seems much better for hitting new PRs right?  I found mixed thoughts on the subject, both good and bad.  Though the rack allows you to lift more, probably due to the saved energy on the walk out, it can also lead to over reaching for a PR that may not be possible otherwise. 

Thoughts??
